At least NC desperately needs them

The VA does more than care for veterans. 70% of US doctors train in one. VAs also perform research—creating the pacemaker, Hep C cure, shingles vaccine, just to name a few. Civilians were cared for during the COVID pandemic. Whatever you feel about vets or war, the loss of the VA affects all of us.

This has always been the Republican plan. Raise the enrollment, starve VA, prove they can’t handle the volume, and shift veterans and VA budget money to the private sector. It is the same playbook as charter schools. “Offering a choice” while punching one of the choices in the face.

The gaslighting is not working. The jobs were unfilled because they were not allowed to be filled. Congress expanded benefits which has increased enrollment dramatically. Republicans want to funnel VA money into the private sector and will starve the VA. “See? The VA can’t do it.”

Love it. Doctors (and our organizations) should not soften our language about the benefits of vaccines.

Absolutely. The Dems need to learn not to get dragged into ideological fights (and especially should avoid hypotheticals) and stick to solving problems for real people.
