The writer of this RINGO NOM’D INDIE COMIC (and a very dear friend of mine) is a Syrian Refugee who has been through more continuous hardships than I have space to list here; constantly navigating visa applications, unstable living conditions, predatory landlords (limited options as a refugee). Anas just wants to make comics and live a normal life like what so many of us take for granted. Backing this campaign will help Anas to take the next step toward freedom and autonomy, helping to fund a move to another country with more stable employment options. I just left my LCS, where I was asked if I'd done anything this week. I pointed at Mary Sue and was like, "uh, that one." And the clerk was like, "oh, that was my podcast partner's pick of the week!"

So take the advice of that guy's podcasting partner and buy Mary Sue #1, is what I'm saying.

Right now, I'm all about the folklore spirits. My current project deals with local ghosts and supernatural happenings, so I've been doing deep dives on some of the ghosts of the past, from train accidents, to haunted covered bridges, to Native spirits.

As of late, it's anyone that shares my particular anger and/or depression or past.

Goes against the current convo, as he's white as hell, but Noah Kahan has been one of those people cos he literally had some of the same upbringing, being from 26 minutes away from me.
