exactly like he outright said something about how it was hurtful especially bc he has a kid(s? idk much abt him) now. i think claiming “fake kids” or other stuff like that is just a line that shouldn’t be crossed, i can’t imagine being a parent and having those allegations follow me around :/

while i understand the frustration i really feel like he’s trying to just be wise at a crucial moment so that he can do the most good possible. we don’t know if he silently has plans to address these things in due time.

tbh i feel he has to move carefully as there are ppl looking to antagonize him. first and foremost he’s trying to improve the lives of new yorkers, so especially as a muslim mayor he’s not going to show any support specifically for a group designated as terrorists group by the federal government.
