As far as I know if someone views your profile repeatedly they’ll eventually show up as a recommended friend. I’m not sure exactly how many times is necessary for them to show up though.

From the research I did before nearly buying one, the P38 isn’t too bad and most problems are solved by putting a fresh and high CCA battery. L322 is even better because its basically just an X5 wearing the skin of a Range Rover.

I suspect they just haven’t figured it out yet, or maybe they have better immobilisers and aren’t worth breaking into - most here are jap imports with pretty much zero security measures

Aquas are super common here, so much so that they’re also the most stolen car in NZ

That’s mostly down to the incredibly easily broken quarter light window that then enables thieves to very easily unlock them, followed by a joyride. They’re getting tough to insure now.

The tapes themselves are actually extremely cheap per gigabyte (fraction of the cost of HDDs) but the drive to read/write them is a huge upfront cost

If you can stomach the upfront investment there is no better digital archival medium than LTO tape drives as far as I know

I’m now 2.5 years and hundreds of hours into one video

Admittedly, my channel isn’t doing all that well but that’s because explosive growth isn’t the point

You can’t even get an ADSL or VDSL connection anymore afaik. The options are fibre, satellite, or 4G/5G wireless (which I suppose in a way is like modern dialup)

As far as I can tell it’s one of those things that media studies people are really into and professionals pretty much never think about

I’m pretty sure they shot both sequels simultaneously years ago, and spent a lot of the time in post doing the VFX

I really wanna see a UK version

Here in NZ that’s pretty uncommon, we just have a big heat exchanger thing outside with a big fan

I must admit the comment was aimed at the Americans Hank was already talking about

Wait a second y’all aren’t using heat pumps for heating as well? Here in NZ it’s like the number one home heating method other than firewood. Our AC units do heating as well. Using the same method they do cooling. Is this not a thing elsewhere?
