Regardless of one's view on political violence, Charlie Kirk was a piece of shit and should not be lauded by the media simply for being killed.

Hey, authors! If you do not like that your work may have been among the thousands of books Anthropic AI used for training and did not/would not give your permission for them to do so, please file a claim: www.lieffcabraser.com/anthropic-au...

Hi authors! Please remember to file a claim!
AI advocates have warned that if every author in the class action filed a claim, it would "financially ruin" the entire industry.
Authors celebrate “historic” settlement coming soon in Anthropic class action
Advocates fear such settlements will “financially ruin” the AI industry.

I love that it just immediately runs off the road... trillion dollar company, clearly on the brink of solving self-driving forever
#Tesla #CyberTruck (Incel Inside®) with the deadly dangerous fraud Full Self Drive FSD

Runs straight into guard rail

Veers off road

(Thankfully driver was paying attention)

So, this probably marks the end of $TSLA #Autonowashing #Autopilot & #FSD lawsuits?

The only thing I’ve ever found it useful for is generating plausible nonsense, and most humans I’ve met can do that too
A sometimes-useful demonstration is to ask an AI chat agent about things you (or the person you're trying to convince) know a lot about.

The outcome is usually plausible, and correct-ish with some substantial flaws. It demonstrates the base problem well.

I watched this happen quite recently.

WeTransfer just changed their TOS giving themselves permission to train AI on any content you transfer and produce derivative works based on content you transfer that they are allowed to monetize and you are not allowed payment for.

Stop using WeTransfer.

I discovered yesterday, in a mass email sent at 3am, that I will not be receiving the roughly £40,000 that my publisher Unbound/Boundless owes me for pre-order sales of The Paradox Paradox. The payment for five years of work, gone.

#unboundless
Authors published by the crowdfunding publisher Unbound will not receive historic royalty payments for sales of their books, unless Boundless, the new publisher founded following Unbound going into administration, "survives and thrives" 👇 #BookSky
Unbound authors will not receive unpaid royalty payments until new publisher Boundless 'is cash stable'

Time to clarify something. When authors say “Unbound haven’t paid me” that makes it sound like Unbound had some money, which they used to buy authors’ writing.

Unbound had no money. The authors did: we had raised that money. They were holding it in trust.

Unbound stole our money.

This is not true. The primary message they get is not "YOU'RE BAD," it's grifters telling them that everyone else is telling them "YOU'RE BAD." There's a difference.

It's the classic cult tactic of telling your flock that the outside world is out to get them, and only you can save them.
It's a brutal time for young men, and to be raising one. The primary message they now is get is "YOU'RE BAD" without any meaningful attempt to offer healthy pathways beyond "Don't be a boy."

Absolutely perfect time for right wing monsters to sweep in with shitty answers.

Shoutout to Google Workspace for putting up subscription prices to cover the AI features they’ve added that I neither want nor use

Anyone know of a viable alternative to Workspace? I primarily use it for Drive, Docs, and Sheets. Email that works properly would be a nice bonus.

The fact that they did this when barely a year ago @secondwindgroup.com proved that the writers and creatives actually probably don’t need the twats in suits is quite baffling

Hoping for the best for all those laid off, it’s a tough world out there at the moment
rich guys in suits hate when a site has a loyal steady fanbase who turn up because they like the people who work at the site
