My coworker:

The per-unit cost went up from $83 to $104. So our margins are down on our quote.

My boss:

What? Why?

Me: Oh? So 25%? I wonder where that came from.

Then they just stared at me. They both voted Trump.

Bluesky says this is "rude."

Where the fuck has Obama been for a decade?

People like "duuuur let Trump run for a third term we'll run Obaaaaaama!"

LOL - he'd fucking lose. He ran and hid for a decade. He'd fucking lose.

I work in a range of roles for a small home-improvement related firm. I produce a vastly superior product than my boss. He has a "it's good enough" mindset versus my "they paid for the best I can do" mindset.

When I think about how America is failing? A lack of personal integrity is a big one.

My latest piece at @thenation.com takes issue with the conventional wisdom that the Dems don't know how to fight Musk's GOP brownshirts effectively. They know how. We know this because they've been waging that kind of ruthless fight against the left for 25 years. www.thenation.com/article/poli...
Why Democrats Won’t Throw a Real Punch
Faced with existential threats from the right, the Democratic leadership remains timid; faced with demands for justice from the left, it goes on the attack.

Never really a Tom Green fan but watching Tom Green Country and his amazement meeting his new mule and donkey are sincere and for that... good on you, Tom.

Just don't hump them.

Nazis showed up in Boston.

And Boston didn't run then off like Lincoln Heights did.

Says a lot about Boston.

And before anyone from Boston gets butthurt - turn to your neighbor before you get pissy with me.

"Nazis in Boston Common"

1) run them off
2) follow them back to their parking area - they pile into U-hauls and flee - follow them
3) photo every car, every person
4) nothing about what I said is illegal. If they respond aggressively in any way be prepared to defend yourself with violence.

If you're going to try and brag that Dems are bad-ass warriors you better come with more than three examples out of a congress with 215 fucking Dems.

Dems don't know how to fight. It's how we got here to begin with.

My Trump-voting co-worker literally just walked in complaining that a cheeseburger and soda from the multi-generational, local restaurant next door is now 24 dollars.

Well, buckle up, lil guy! It's gonna get worse and you're gonna lose a whole lot of those "established in 19xx" places you "love."

The Freedom Riders.

These folks rode interstate buses south of the Mason Dixon at a time when the South wasn't respecting federal desegregation rulings. Often met with mob violence hundreds of riders were arrested for simply refusing to draw color lines.

The Tuskegee Airmen. Primarily black airmen who made up the 332nd Fighter Group and 477's Bombardment Group during WW2. Though the 477 never saw action as they were formed too late in the war, the Red Tails of the 332 held an exemplary flight record. 96 Distinguished Flying Crosses to 95 airmen.

John - motherfucking - Brown. This dude didn't mess around. When he said it was time to abolish slavery he meant it. So he and just under two dozen men went to Harper's Ferry to try and spark a slave revolt. They'd fail but their actions would be called the "Dress Rehearsal for the Civil War." Hero.

Bass Reeves - U.S. Marshal, gunfighter, rancher, scout... and escaped slave. Over 4,000 arrests and 20 men killed in the line of duty.

Considered one of the inspirations for the Lone Ranger.
