I remember when this is what Overlake Transit Center looked like over eight years ago. Look how far we've come!

I have encountered this sign at two different Safeway stores (this one is from the one on East Madison), and also been told both times that yes, they mean it.

(The QFC near me has one that only lists the first two items.)

I did not know that @citybeautiful.nebula.tv had a card game on @nebula.tv's store so now I have two new decks of cards.

(A seemingly repeat post because the first time I didn't click the right city-themed Bluesky account!)

In case you're curious, here's the proposal Danny is describing.

It was...not an exciting time. But this was also part of the catalyst that got us @seattletru.bsky.social and @wilsonforseattle.bsky.social and the Frequent Transit Network we ever-so-briefly had so I guess lemons, lemonade??

Heck, just dusting off this classic and leaving the "Space Needle-esque" decals on the ends of the podiums would be an improvement.

Exactly zero tourists give a shit where Northgate, Lynnwood, Redmond, Federal Way, or Angle Lake are. Put "SEATTLE THIS WAY" stickers all over and call it a day.

Night bus vibes for the first time in 2026.

I would donate *so* much money to have a front row seat if she could find where the old Convention Place signs are and put one or two on stage as decoration.

I miss them. At least one should have been installed as art in the new convention center building.

Get yourself a hometown library with an absolutely banger historical logo. “Prithee take thyneself off t’lybraree”

Still can't believe the Kimbell. Just a random small art museum in Fort Worth that's free to get into and you can stroll past works from Monet, Caravaggio, Sisley, and Cézanne. They have my second-favorite painting ("On the Pont de l'Europe" by Caillebotte) and not in Chicago so I'll take it.

Really enjoying all of these “benign” parking infractions at bus stops from Capitol Hill to Greenwood.

Plus…we know how to do better signs. (This is a one-off at the airport in February 2022.)

No tourist cares where Northgate or Lynnwood or Federal Way or Redmond are, and people who live here will either know their train or know what the “extra” words on the sign mean.

I don't know when it happened (maybe when Saar's opened, which is also 24/7) but as a confirmed night owl I was giddy to notice that our IHOP at Aurora/105th is open 24/7.

Raises the count of overnight IHOPs next to 24/7 buses in the city to *two*.

My wife jokes that I have no pictures of humans on my phone.

I think the ad hoc signage for the rail replacement UP Express buses goes harder than any train sign has a right to and I love it

Smoked brisket on a bahn mi roll in the style of a Philly cheesesteak, what a country. I love you, Toronto.

This flight was absolutely worth it for tonight alone. Toronto is a pretty good hang in general (I got to work in a datacentre today!) but seeing Generator again was incredible. Funny, uplifting, optimistic, joyful. Not enough adjectives in English.
