I didn't make the cut, I guess, even tho by the end I was often the only one on the road.
Can't say for sure without having seen it (it's on my list!). But I suspect they had a narrative they decided upon, and my experience in those final years didn't fit.

I'll get back to you :-)

I confess I've been too busy to watch it yet.
A producer contacted me before they started, having been recommended because, yeah, everybody else they were talking to was a he-person. And of course I could have done it in both languages. Talked to her for about an hour and a half.

Carlos Delgado was "very, very, very good".

Except that process just ever so slightly dilutes the level, each time it happens.
And over time, it morphs into the "Hall of Very, Very, Very, Good", rather than the Hall of Fame.
I think it should never be just "very, very, very good".
I'd even take some people out.
IMO, of course. 😜

Hall of Fame is tricky. I gave up my vote because of the hypocrisy of ... not voting for certain people.

And in the end, the process (and we do it in tennis too) seems to revolve around someone having "nearly the same" numberss as someone who is already in. So ... they should be in. Right?

I think mostly it indicates difficulty with reading and such.

Well, if you don't know who she is, you can always click on the story and find out all about her!
Just sayin'.

And in 2023, she was thrilled when she Q'd at the US Open.
Until her 2018 and 2023 comebacks, she had only played qualifying in a major ONCE – in her first one, all the way back in 2002 at Roland Garros, where she qualified, beat Schiavone in the 3R and lost to Serena in the R16.

In 2014, we spotted Zvonareva picking up swag like some random tennis-goer at Wimbledon.

He's better known today as the husband and coach of Veronika Kudermetova - Sergei Demekhine.

In her earlier days, Zvonareva added a super-hottie coach / part-time Abercrombie & Fitch model – a guy she'd played mixed with as a teen – to her team.
She never seemed too thrilled that he got more attention than she did.😝

Zvonareva is probably best known for the full towel cover on changeovers.
She got so skilled at it she could pretty. much do anything she needed to do, even without being able to see much.

In 2009, Zvonareva left a dead soldier on the practice court in Montreal.
Shahar Pe'er and coach Craig Kardon picked it up, examining it rather ... quizzically. 🤣

And here is this week's lineup - still plenty of action, and of course the big junior event formerly known as the Eddie Herr taking place in Bradenton, Fla, and well-attended by the Canucks.
