This means citizens pay twice—once to fund the research through taxes, and again to access it…

…Isn’t it time we made public research truly public?

For us, a journal simply becomes predatory when it seeks profit by charging APCs (Article Processing Charges).

For these journals, financial gain becomes the priority, and the value of academic work takes a backseat.
