One aspect of the DMV deep freeze that local Latino politicians are talking about but no one else I can see: we are short hundreds of snowplow contractors relative to this time last year because they're scared of 1) doing government work 2) alone in a truck outside. ICE is making the ice much worse.

With the senate coming back into session this week I sincerely hope the democrats shut the government down over ICE funding.
Just as long as they hold out and don't cave like last time to get nothing in return...
