if there are always six players in the digital circus, then gangle and ribbit were there at the same time. did ribbit bully gangle along with jax, or (and this is what i'm thinking) did jax start treating her badly AFTER ribbit abstracted? or is it possible that gangle only showed up afterward?

i've seen tadc fans who like the "everyone is an ai copy" theory recommend that people play a video game called soma.
survival horror isn't for everyone, though. there's a show called pantheon that explores the concept of digital brain uploading and the ethics around it. i think it's on netflix!

my feelings on the "everyone is an ai copy" theory remain mixed, but i would absolutely still love gangle and zooble. i'd still love everyone, though i'm unsure how jax would get a non-controversial ending if he needn't worry about returning to the real world. i want to see him get better, but...

i think there's gonna be a lot of questions that tadc doesn't answer. several will be, i'm sure, but i feel like a lot of them won't. i imagine there will be even more fanworks made for the show after it's over that focus on answering those questions.

also, in regards to the "everyone is an ai copy" theory: if caine really values and envies humans, then would he be less impressed by ai copies of humans? even if they were perfect copies, they aren't technically 100% human any more, even if they are of human origin in a way that caine is not.

depending on if jax did do something awful in the real world (such as running someone over with his car), i don't know how well the "everyone is an ai copy" theory would go over if it's true. if he's trying to avoid the consequences of his actions, would being an ai copy invalidate any worries?

it's interesting how episode seven of tadc was hyped up as being polarizing, but it really hasn't been besides being considered boring by less patient viewers. i feel like episode eight is gonna be the true polarizing one
