It's a show centered on knitting (& crochet) with the format of competitive reality TV. The judging is often contradictory to the briefs & devaluing the skill.

I've seen the first 2 episodes before opting watching indirectly with Deborah Knits.

It really helped me find people with similar backgrounds & understand that what I was experiencing at home was dysfunctional.

They felt safer to talk with than social workers because there wasn't the threat to upend my whole life.

A couple times on tumblr I've seen you explain why it bothers you, & I sympathize. The internet can be nasty. :(

On a positive note, your work for Look Outside is great! It's practically your element & it really shows in how much you're committed to the body horror & Sam headcanons.

Cis is a good term. It's succinct.

Adobe Illustrator, that brings back memories of design class. My teacher for it used to play Stompin' Tom while we worked on assignments.

It was a fun night. Dinner stuffed us to hibernation standard, & the older kids had fun playing balloon-volleyball with their tired aunts & uncles.

Went nearly straight to bed when I got home.

Hornbills. Usually when I see a sculpture involving one, it's made of the carved casque of the helmeted hornbill.

They're endangered, breed slowly & in such a way that the survival of the mother & chick is dependent on the father.

But the internet sees "oh, ugly bird" & calls it a day.
