Cut those things that encourage critical thinking and bring joy. Without the arts we have no culture to defend.
bearlypolitics.co.uk
So, the plan is to cut English, the arts, and sociology - the degrees that actually study culture - while on another part of your platform claiming to “defend” British culture.

It’s performance nationalism with a reading age of seven.
Badenoch: Curb students taking 'rip-off' degrees such as English
The performing arts, sociology and anthropology are among the subjects the Conservatives would like to cut

I've already given out LITERALLY hundreds of nuts to squirrels today alone. Absolutely worth it. It's my favorite thing to do.

This picture is a few years old, but it is a picture of me in my squirrel dress feeding a squirrel. You might say I am a bit dedicated.
A picture of a middle-aged woman wearing a retro dress featuring a squirrel print. She is also wearing a black fedora. You can see curly blonde hair from beneath the Fedora but half of the face is hidden. The woman in the photo is feeding the squirrel that is looking up at her.

I was buying almonds tonight and I told the guy that I was buying them for the squirrels. He made an "impressed" face and said that those were very spoiled squirrels.

Well, you know what? They are absolutely worth it.

It may sound silly, but they bring me happiness and peace.

Oh, Nona just made for the perfect "hammock face."

#PetRats
A picture of a cream colored domestic rat and a hammock. Only the rats ears eyes nose and mouth are visible, and the resulting angle makes it look like the rat is smiling.

Dis Lilo the Mali Uromastyx. She's about 21 years old.
A Mali Uromastyx in a large aquarium. She is standing on rocks piled in sand. The reptile is facing the camera with its body visible because the photo is taken from above.

I could use some sunshine.

I just saw someone use the abbreviation “AI;DR” and I’ll be laughing for a while.

Please do not call bad-acting humans "rats." This is slander against rats.

#RodentOfTheDay Columbian Ground Squirrel (Urocitellus columbianus)

"Its head and body measure 10 to 12 inches in length. The tail is 3 to 5 inches long and tends to be bushy, particularly when the squirrel is excited."

Photos and info from: fieldguide.mt.gov/speciesDetai...
The Columbian Ground Squirrel is easily distinguished from other Montana ground squirrels by its larger size and distinctive coloration. An average adult weighs more than a pound. Its head and body measure 10 to 12 inches in length. The tail is 3 to 5 inches long and tends to be bushy, particularly when the squirrel is excited. Reddish-brown fur is found on the nose, forelegs, and hindquarters. The back and upper limbs are mottled gray and brown (Montana Department of Agriculture 1985).
