this is about artists who are uncomfortable with nsfw being tricked into drawing kink stuff but really it can apply to anything. ive had a lot of people pressure me into drawing things i really didnt want to and its a really unpleasant experience.

if an artist says they wont draw something, that means no. full stop. dont try to haggle with them/pressure them into it or try to sneakily get them to draw it anyway. violating someone elses boundaries is not fucking cool.

ultimately i just try to work up the courage to post it anyway and then focus on the positive feedback. it does help a lot to know that most other people arent as hypercritical of my art as i am.

definitely great advice, i agree! in my own case i also struggle a lot with feeling embarrassed or ashamed about my art so the biggest barrier is being nervous that im going to be judged for it if my art isnt good enough or too strange, which can be difficult to overcome.
