The Cop City RICO is in crisis. Judge Farmer plans to throw out the bulk of the case on the reasoning that the Georgia Attorney General's office was not invited by the Fulton DA (Fani Willis) to bring the case, so it lacks constitutional authority to prosecute.

Motions hearings in Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr's openly politically repressive RICO case against the #StopCopCity movement start momentarily and will go on for much of this week - we'll be sharing updates from the proceedings, which you can watch live thanks to @atlpresscollective.com:

A 35-year-old former U.S. Army sergeant, Bajun “Baji” Mavalwalla II, faces up to six years in prison for protesting against ICE deportations in what legal experts are calling a test case for the Trump administration’s attempts to criminalize and punish dissent.

A similar recent situation out of Boise: Boise PD and Idaho State Police used footage provided by a far right group to target and charge an abortion activist.

Three years later, a mistrial is declared when withheld video, apparently, shows battery and instigation by the source's group.

have let DC Police union head Greggory Pemberton present himself as an authority on crime statistics.

But he's at the heart of an ongoing scandal that led to the first ever sanction of a DC prosecutor for manipulating and hiding evidence:
