Did you like Bubba Ho-Tep? I think it got tanked by anticipation for me, I was like "hell yeah, this is gonna rule [...] well, I just watched a movie."

This is a very excellent out-of-date take.

FWIW... we did like the movie (saw it in the theater when it came out) but it was the first movie we'd ever seen with Bruce Campbell starring... so our expectations were low

Oh yeah, I just watched Casino for the first time, too!

I didn’t mean to accidentally launch myself into a makeshift mid-90s De Niro trilogy by watching Heat, Casino and Jackie Brown for the first time right after one another (at least Jackie Brown is better than Casino)
