Father Damien Karras from The Exorcist is one of those exceptional characters for me, a fundamentally decent human who'd give his life to save just about anybody else's, yet nevertheless he's trapped in his own completely unearned prison of self-loathing. Just a haunted performance by Jason Miller.

One of my earliest forays into nerdery was sketching out deck plans of the Nostromo while still in grade school, going off of a rough layout I had pieced together in my head after watching the movie multiple times over, so this shit is a dream come true.
