I understand the Fed is not saying explicitly that tariffs are inflationary, but is that indicative of them not thinking that or baking that into decisions? It may simply be for public appearances: the fed does not weigh into fiscal policy, but privately they understand tariff impacts.

China instructed data centers not to use Nvidia chips in November, the illicit trade of Nvidia chips was still happening then, and now that they are legal they are still more expensive due to Trump’s tax. How is this supposed to help Nvidia?

Nvidia popping on earnings last night and then the analysis being from the journal today is that fears around an AI bubble have been “soothed” is like saying shovel sales have surged, therefore there’s gold in California. I guess the street can’t conceive of so much Capex without promised returns.
