Artist & Photographer. At 10years old I climbed Jacks Rake on Pavey Ark, eating my jam butties for lunch looking down on Stickle Tarn, that day I fell in love with the Lake District. I’ve never fallen out of love with it.
Pinned
After 40 hours in my atelier, I went plein air to finish this #oilpainting 24”x18” on linen. Another work of the fantastic quarry at #HodgeClose in the #LakeDistrict #Cumbria

On a cold wet December afternoon I was at Tarn Hows, under my brolly I spent a couple of hours painting near to the dam.
Believe it or not, I enjoyed it!

One of my favourite views of the Langdale Pikes is from Elterwater Common where it gets close and personal.
I painted this on a sunny day in November where autumnal colours dominate.

The River Brathay flows down the Langdale Valley into Lake Windermere. At Skelwith Bridge it flows past Chester’s on the River, I painted this #oilpainting from a photograph I took, I call it “Table 6, Chester’s (wild swimming)”. It’s 24”x18” on wooden panel.
It’s a great place for a vegan lunch.

I’ve recently read Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë, it has to be the best book I’ve read. So I watched the fantastic series (iplayer) starring the excellent #RuthWilson and I can thoroughly recommend it.
I took a screenshot and painted this portrait, it’s 16”x16” on canvasboard.
