Since the regime couldn't buy Greenland or get Canada to be a part of the US, it's taken over Venezuela.
I definitely, absolutely, totally believe the regime will give it back and not treat it like a resource and super prison.

A graduate teaching assistant is a student. A defined rubric, course outcomes, and their supervising professor are the protections against this stupidity. Get it the fuck together, Oklahoma.

Well, count me out. I only write the worst trash imaginable. I actively ignore feedback, turn in work late, and eat other employees' food in the break room.

What's nice is predicting the dumb fuckery would continue and getting off that ride early. We'd be stuck in Green Bay tonight if we had a modicum of faith in that airline, but I believe people/things when they show me who/what they are. 🖕

There's always a barrier between you and history. Always. Even a "perfect" recreation or preserved artifact isn't directly accessible. You'll never experience those objects the way someone from that period did. So calm down.

One of the nice things about tech writing is you get to be obnoxiously curious. I ask all sorts of insane things. Tech writing is a team of high-functioning toddlers in the "why" phase.

When I taught a course on adaptation, the final project was to adapt an adaptation into a new medium. Most made board games. Some made food. Some comics.
We weren't spinning our wheels in the dredges, clinging to "the book was better." We did what all adaptation does: takes what it needs.

It's weird, on the professional site, that a lot of things have become fodder for engagement and attempts to gain status. A junior-level someone did something silly in an interview? Post. Someone wore, said, did something in the office? Post.
