Harry Truman, who (unlike Trump actually served in the military) led the country through the end of WWII after FDR died created the Department of Defense but, sure Donald, Truman was really a woke hippie who dropped a couple of nukes just to cover up for it.
Trump: "We decided to go woke and we changed the name to Department of Defense. So we're going to Department of War ... I think it's a much more appropriate name especially in light of where the world is right now."
