Also, tenured faculty tend to teach less because they have other administrative roles. That means less staff - which is what the state wants. They call it “bloat” then complain that faculty aren’t teaching. They are, they just have multiple jobs (aka work more than 40 hours like the article says)

We have clinical faculty in ed because of their experience as teachers, administrators, or mental health providers. They still have PhDs and are still faculty.
