It has never been clearer to me that the Republican party is recognizing that the ship is sinking.

She's days away from quitting and is trying to preserve her image.

Good luck with that, enabler.
Trump’s current Chief of Staff Susie Wiles on the Trump admin:

—Trump “has an alcoholic’s personality.”
—Vance has been “a conspiracy theorist for a decade.”
—Musk is “an avowed ketamine [user].”
—Vought is “a right-wing absolute zealot.”
—Bondi “completely whiffed” the Epstein Files.

Iowa Democrats should tread lightly in criticizing the Center for Intellectual Freedom.

Republicans want the fight. They want us to prove their point that conservative viewpoints aren’t welcome in higher education.

They want to legislative their extreme positions and control into law.

*cough* Bullshit *cough*

The political process created it. The political leaders advise it. The political leaders spoke about more government oversight at their event. It’s 💯 political.

“We support every veteran that served this country that follows our laws” is a fucking position to take.
MAGAZINER: How many veterans have you deported?

NOEM: We haven't deported veterans

MAGAZINER: We are now joined on Zoom by a combat veteran you deported to Korea

Put it in every ad against every Republican running in 26 and 28.
POLITICO: I wonder what grade you'd give the economy

TRUMP: A+

He was 3-6 against Iowa, no Big 12 championships, 3-4 in bowl games… I have never believed the hype. He took a bad team to a mid team. But good for him on getting paid.

I suspect that this will lead the BOR to consider commiting to the Trump Higher Ed Compact; especially once the legislative session starts in January.

I’m sure responsibility will be humbly accepted and thoughtful strategies will be planned to not let this happen again.
🚨 CNBC on latest jobs numbers: "A big miss on ADP payrolls. The private payroll company saying private payrolls shed 32,000 workers in Nov. That's the 4th negative number in past 6 months. The estimate was for +40,000, so the street was off ... this may be coming from being hammered by the tariffs"

This can’t be a coincidence.

The legislative session starts in a month and the state legislature has increasingly tried to take control of the regent system away from the Board.
Bates’ resignation leaves two holes in the board — after former regent David Barker left in October to serve as U.S. assistant secretary for postsecondary education under the Trump administration. www.thegazette.com/higher-educa...

Thanks, world.

Eyes open people. She’s positioning herself as a reasonable person who is still tied to Trump but anti-Republican establishment.

She’s running for President. I think she has a chance with Trump’s backing to replace him. She will be more liked than JD.

We can’t let her rewrite her craziness.
Greene: "I will praise Nancy Pelosi. She had an incredible career for her party. I served under her speakership in my first term in Congress and I'm very impressed at her ability to get things done. I wish we could get things done for our party like Nancy Pelosi was able to deliver for her party."

This means this isn’t a contract year for both Doubs and CW.

Given the WR room, if CW actually has a strong season I’d guess Doubs will be gone.

CW, Reed, Golden, Wicks, Heath.. eventually you run out of room.

2026 will be contract years for CW again and Reed who both could want big contracts.

Jerry Jones is single handedly killing the Cowboys.

You have a new head coach, that publicly wasn’t even your first choice, and a new DC, and you let a generational talent walk 1 week before the season starts? Because of your ego?

Woooo buddy. There are some pissed off Walmart shoppers today.

Authoritarians are only as dangerous as the "normal" people who give cover to the crazy and dangerous things they do.
Rick Scott: "DC is not safe. People don’t just walk the streets in DC and feel safe anywhere around DC. I mean, I gotta be careful in what I do. I've got people in my office that are very careful about where they go. So this is great when Donald Trump is doing."

Sorry about it.

The government runs out of money on September 30, and the House Republicans are going on vacation early.
Politico & Punchbowl report House Republican leadership is shutting down the Rules Committee - which is essential for moving party-line bills on the floor - for the week rather than vote on Democratic amendments on the Epstein files.

Dems have effectively halted Republican legislation in the House:
