“A few other GOP members messaged us over the weekend saying that they, too, are considering retiring in the middle of the term.” — Punchbowl

Jake Sherman added: “since this ran this morning -- 4 hours ago? -- ive gotten countless text messages from House Republicans agreeing with this sentiment.“

NEW: Rep. Don Beyer is circulating a bill to raise the threshold for censure.

He’s eyeing a 60% threshold, but some want to go even higher.

My transcription of the "joking" threat Trump just made at the Saudi Investment Forum to fire Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who was sitting in front of him at the time

Hours after Speaker Mike Johnson confidently declared that Senate Republicans would "fix" Thomas Massie's bill requiring release of the Epstein files, the Senate just passed the bill as is by unanimous consent without any changes. A massive, embarrassing debacle for Johnson.

It now goes to Trump...

Totally fine with people breaking from party orthodoxy to criticize bad behavior. What I object to here, and what imo she did wrong, is forcing the entire House to vote on it. Politicians have numerous mechanisms at their disposal to register disapproval without making it our legislative business

Right now, the Trump Administration is basically getting routed and/or in retreat on several key fronts.
