Cannot imagine having nothing better to do in my life than creating a Bluesky account so I can argue about politics with total strangers but happily that is not a condition I find myself in. Bye

Suggest you argue with someone who is so carping rather than with someone who is not
January 14, 2026 at 7:12 PM
Who are you arguing with? I didn't mention the First Amendment

this is so incredibly on point

"He estimated that he was roughly 60 feet away from Trump on Tuesday and that the president could hear him 'very, very, very clearly...' 'I don’t feel as though fate looks upon you often, and when it does, you better be ready to seize the opportunity,' Sabula said. 'And today I think I did that.'”

*Definitely not his last- after that vote failed, Republican leadership quickly pulled two other anti-labor bills from the floor because they didn't have the votes.

A nice surprise win for Jeffries and Clark, and if R's keep using their newfound ability to thwart each other we'll see more of these

Vacancies aren't included in the numbers, a full House would add up to 435 and this adds up to 431
January 13, 2026 at 6:21 PM
The answer to that is always in flux because of vacancies but ultimately when we get to November the answer will be 3

People ask "does this mean Dems can take over" using procedure or whatnot- the answer is no.

But of those 27 Republicans not voting, one announced his retirement today (Neal Dunn, R-FL), and another (Greg Murphy, R-NC) announced he's recovering from surgery.

Attendance making the House very close

Just below the headline I want to note that House Democrats had full attendance and matched the total number of Republicans voting on the most important measure of the year so far.

Republicans cannot pass party line legislation under those conditions!

The vehicle is going incredibly slowly and turning. It's obviously not weaponized in any sense. This is in *Trump's* video. If you look at these frames and that video along with this from @fritschner.bsky.social it appears clear that the officer shot her after the car brushed past as retaliation.
