i haven't seen the other films in this article, but this take on Leonardo DiCaprio's character Bob Ferguson in One Battle After Another is so off and wrong that you can't really take the whole thing seriously.

went there a few years ago. looked liked they had tried to make it more accessable at one time but hadn't quite succeeded. think i found out about it randomly looking on google maps for a place to go. any suggestions for learning more about christianity in that area?

i was interested in revolutionary history at the time, so went to this hall which, if i remember correctly, was the headquarters of the ccp in chongqing. interest in that era was low in the mid-90s, so i was rarely bothered when visiting these places. got someone to take a photo of me there, tho.

running into kids busking wasn't such an uncommon site -- tho bystanders found the random young foreigner taking photos was more interesting than the music

last night my instagram feed pushed a few posts on the cyberpunk city of chongqing. got me thinking it was quite different 30 years ago when i arrived by train from kunming.
