Nobody is paying as much attention to you as you think, almost ever. Nobody cares if you look like an idiot. Ask the question, try the new thing, put yourself out there.

I've had in my mind that it's really difficult for a party to maintain the presidency if inflation is over a certain amount.
Turns out presidential party almost always changes. There are 2 exceptions in the last 100 years other than the death of the sitting president.

Just realized that 3 US presidents were assassinated between the years of 1865 and 1901, less than 40 years.
I've thought of the US as having a peaceful transfer of power prior to Jan 6 2020, but at least that era wasn't generally peaceful.
Maybe not the good old days.
