Amongst a myriad of others. From AiM to FTSE250 hardly any of them did it right. A story of failures, rescues, bullshit and hubris

Good for you. I love seeing the team come together. Sometimes I'm prouder of the other kids than my own - although I'm always a proud Dad. Hope your son enjoys it as much as my kids have and contine to.

Laughing at the foreign name. Oh how sophisticated. Shows they're a bit scared about him though.

You go to a match with your kid, and you come back alone? It's heartbreaking. Me and my old man only went to a few matches due to hooliganism, him playing and me being more interested in other sports, but I look back on those days fondly and do it with my kids. The thought makes me cry

(4) What I find so upsetting is that a liberal democracy. The liberal democracy, appears to be operating like a dictatorship. "The whole point of terrorism was to terrorise people" The terror is top down. There's something chilling about it.

(3) this is not to say that what went on in long running COIN wars was not horrific. See the recent Panorama investigation into UKSF in Afghan. But. They tend to be bottom up - infantrymen lacking effective command and control doing terrible things.

(2) the stuff I know best around moral catastrophes (Ulster / Chechnya) were different because they didn't have either the videogame aspect, or the seemingly direct involvement of higher political authority.
