I'm a natural history artist who specialises in designing and hand-making realistic plushies of animals!

I focus on under-represented species, using palaeoartistic techniques to reconstruct extinct creatures.

A realistic plush anurognathus- a species of small pterosaur. It has brown fur and striking green-orange wing membranes. Shiny dark eyes look soulfully at the camera.

A realistic plush Oyster Toadfish. This fish is a mottled brown which would blend in well with it's environment. It has a fringe around it's face to break up the outline, and shining gold eyes. It looks rather grumpy.

A realistic plush depiction of a blue Neocaridina shrimp. This plush looks like it is made of transparent segments, but it is actually a digitally painted pattern printed onto soft velvet fabric. It has beady eyes and cord antennae.

A realistic depiction of a baby Diplodocus dinosaur. The colouration is a striped brown and deep orange. It has scales along it's tail, which is visible because the plush looks away from the camera.

It takes a bit to tailor it to be a decent experience but as a blogging platform it's okay. Somehow more tolerable than any other social media out there right now... (Not saying much)

Remember when Instagram was just photos... Now it's all reels. I hate it.

This is why I hang out on Tumblr they hate videos as much as I do there, so if there's a video I know it's a GOOD one

God yeah that drives me crazy. Having a transcript helps sometimes but it's such a pain.

I just want to look at pictures and read words. I don't like videos. I struggle to process information from videos. I like step-by-step instructions I can take my time to process. Sometimes videos are good in combination with this.

Yesterday we visited the last 3 caves of our trip; Bédeilhac, Niaux & La Vache, each with something special to see.

Bédeilhac was partly damaged but fascinating. It even has a carved vulva with a stalactite placed in it, very symbolic. 😆
