this social separation creates a distinction of ideas and a feedback loop that only creates a false sense of "us vs. them" (this type of ideal is seen in lots of media with young children involved, which obviously contributes to the growth of this idea).

that clear, let's think about the way kids are raised. it's super common to have situations where boys are separated from girls, and when they do hang out, they more often than not get hit with the old "oohh look who found a (girl/boy)friend", which is really (apart from weird)only shameful for them
