#FlowerReport from S WI: these are the weeks that need some help from the supermarket flower cooler. I’ll celebrate with these bouquets whenever I need a little pick me up. Best and kindest regards.

I love your Olympic Peninsula landscape! Ours is snow-covered and it’s very cold, but after a couple of dreary winters with minimal snow, I am enjoying it (plus, we need the precipitation). Our day started off with Cinnamon Sugar scones. I have a few errands later, but it’s a low key day here.

#FlowerReport: I have none to photograph currently, but from the archives, here’s a spectacular display of poinsettias (from a year ago), the Charlton Building at Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. Best and kindest regards.

It snowed all day yesterday, and all night. Awoke to about 10 inches/25cm snow on the land today.

A not-too strenuous to prepare Thanksgiving dinner for two. And yes; we’re thankful for the food, shelter and warmth on a chilly day. 🙏 😌

Needn’t have worried; it popped out flawlessly (thanks, greased parchment paper 😉)

Thanks for your lovely words, and happy Thanksgiving! We’re staying in, enjoying texts from friends and family, and the scent of this Cranberry Apple Cornmeal Upside Down Cake is intoxicating 😋

Stayed at home: sorted through a “doom pile” of papers that made a move with us last month; shredded quite a few of these. Leftover French Onion soup for supper. Loved the ordinary, uneventful pace of today.

Our day started similarly yesterday (Wisconsin)

I might reprise this cranberry cream pie that I made a couple of years ago

#FlowerReport from S WI: from the archives, the holiday cactuses reliably displayed in November, in the little sunroom of our old home. Best and kindest regards; travel mercies if you are among those making your way for holiday plans. 🚘 ✈️ 🚊
