I hear that. In our recent move, lots of offers of help, but I declined most because *I* really didn’t know what I was doing and was constantly making decisions on the fly. To be fair, these were supportive friends/family, not judgy… but I just didn’t know what to do with them. 🤷🏼‍♀️

This lot makes the tycoons of the Golden Age look good.

That Rand Paul is a voice of reason is 🤯, but we’re in strange times

Thank you, Dave Karpf for condensing this incoherent narrative into a couple of paragraphs (and for reminding me of the word “vacuous,” because descriptors for Ms Nuzzi have been eluding me 😶)

Absolutely. Not quite the same thing, but I remember (former Maine governor) Paul LePage openly making racist and sexist remarks (and probably other offensive language)before it became so prevalent. It disturbed me then, and it’s just as egregious now.

So many lines have been crossed in the past year (and before, but so accelerated now). No, it’s not acceptable and we must not normalize it.

My absolute favorite thing is to sing in a choir: the practicing, perfecting, and finally singing in performance. Something that I started doing in Middle School, and I have continued intermittently throughout my life. I didn’t this year (moving, hubby’s back injury), but I hope to resume next year.

G’morning! I’d forgotten about your candy-making tradition… I like those kind of rituals. For me, more fun than the actual holiday. Not much happening here today. There’s a fluffy, fresh inch of snow from an Alberta Clipper overnight. The sun is shining, looks like a beautiful winter day ahead!

I’m guardedly optimistic that development activity has been a little curtailed by citizen activism. And big investors seem to be cooling off a bit. We’ll see 😬
