I used to get motion sickness from watching 60+ fps gameplay footage, but not when playing them, so I think there’s something different about how we process high frame rate movements we‘re controlling vs ones we’re passively watching

The remakes are fine enough Metroidvanias on their own terms, but turning it into that is a bit like putting a square peg in a round hole. Both feel like attempts to fix what isn't broken so it fits in better, instead of trying to enhance what was good about it in the first place.

Agreed! I think both remake projects reformatting M2 into a post-Super, more traditional Metroidvania kinda lose what made M2 so special, as a clever use of the Game Boy's limits, and as an exploration of what Metroid "is" before Super codified the series as one specific style of game in fans minds

When I used to be in a Nintendo fan Facebook group people were weird like this about Nintendo Directs too and it always made me feel insane. What do you mean you’re mad an advertisement didn’t make you want to spend money!?

Trails is at its best when it’s slow anyway. Spent like half my time with the game yesterday just chatting to all the NPCs in the five districts they open up at the start of the first chapter, and had a blast.

Either that or it’s extremely aggressive price anchoring to make the bundles seem like a better deal, haha.
But yeah something’s obviously wrong when some of the DLC is priced higher than the game itself. I wasn’t aware it was priced so high in other regions too

People keep saying "you have to adopt AI! it's inevitable! eventually you won't be able to avoid it!" and if that is true then how do you explain this *tilts my phone forward toward you so you can clearly see it has a headphone jack*
