Just got back from the family traditional Thanksgiving On Black Friday Instead Of On Thursday thing. Ate a bit too much, as usual, but I was a little better about it this year. I also only took 4 pics of food instead of the usual at-least-1-pic-of-each-individual-dish, lol.

Took this (short/holiday) week off to try to decompress... but self-care hasn't quite kicked in yet. Went to Chateau de Chantilly &, later, Dumpling District, but the vibes were just bad all day & took me a while to realize there's a weather front coming thru that's probably affecting my headspace.

Lil cinderblock-shaped brick that wedges the halves of the landing ship together is great — in that mode. But I'm not storing it by jamming it into the bottom of his foot in robot mode as per instructions. You can't really tell what it is on sight if you just found it on the floor, & you only get 1.

Installed the DNA Design upgrades/bugfixes for Tidal Wave. The sculpted plate that covers the big boat-hole in his back is good.

These are very close to tasting like an American version of honey butter chips. (Yes, there was recently an ACTUAL American Lay's version of honey butter chips. But these feel more honest, somehow.)

You can also do a sort of Archadis "poncho" mode, which is probably what I'll do with Sky Report when I eventually get my hands on one, since his bot mode design appears to be somewhat inspired by Archadis.

Thunderbeak is probably my favorite of the Wild King Energy Beasts so far. He has this very Seeker design aesthetic, like he was a jet Seeker before he took on a beast mode. And you can mess around with his accessories to lean into the Seeker thing even more.

Baku Delicious randomly had the Dark version of Kvas Taras, which is the first time I've actually seen it in a store (in an English-language can, no less; the regular non-Dark version was next to it in the coldcase in normal Cyrillic/Ukrainian cans).

I actually like this weird alternate dragon base mode they made up. It looks more like an evil version of Metroplex or Fort Max's city mode than Scorponok / Black Zarak's original base mode did. More dynamic instead of sprawled-out.

Marufuji is apparently putting in a buttload of gashapon machines & a photobooth in the otherwise-underutilized area behind the checkouts, but they haven't reached operational status yet.

Today's Office Day #DeskBot was TF:WK Spirituan. As with the other WK figures, I like finding fiddling around & alternate configurations for the beast mode parts (especially because ALL of them have small/bad feet for balance & posing, & you can do better by shifting some of the weight forwards).
