They informed award shows they were nominated for in advance of this experimentation and the only reason anybody even knows about it is because they themselves announced “yeah hey we did experiment with it and a texture got missed sorry about that”.

Yeah new Expedition 33 interview was out. The generated texture was just part of them experimenting with GenAI when it was brand new years ago when they were first starting working on the game. They didn’t like it, said “it felt wrong”, stopped using it, and a single texture from that got missed.
