For people unaware and playing/streaming Where Winds Meet, it uses GenAI for NPC chat bots, and let's you import a photo of yourself and a voice clip for character creation, which I'm sure I don't need to explain why that is fucked up

the amount of times ive had a dev email to play their game only to fail my simple two part question is insane.
i just ask if they use ai, and what their thoughts on it are.
so many say "nope its human made" then follow up with "i think ai is a great asset in brainstorming and temp assets"

If you use genAI assets as placeholders, you’re just as bad as anyone using genAI in final product releases. The damage to the environment, artists, your fellow employees and you has already been done. No I won’t play your fucking game (reposted to fix a typo)
Stop using AI for placeholder assets.
Use sketches. Use lorem ipsum. Use bright pink materials. Use programmer art for fucks sake, literally anything else.
If your studio is using AI even for temp, even if they think they've covered their tracks, SPEAK UP because people WILL FIND IT
