I was 20 when HS2 was announced. Great to know i’ll probably be in my late 60s when the Birmingham-Manchester section starts work let alone finishes. Seems like a country doing things the right way!

This generation of British Labor politicians really need to learn to be brutally frank when talking to the press. And not sound like they are giving speeches or rehashing talking points. Say what’s fact with the authority of someone challenging a liar to their face.
It's almost as if years of relentless media saturation bombing of flat-out lies, demonisation and blaming don't help the public to understand what is actually happening.
