I think part of it is developers picking the low capex high opex option, but I think part of it is also that gas stoves are still seen as the premium option, and if you're putting in gas for the stove you may as well use it for the water as well.

That's approximately 100 hours of reading, before you even get to reading any literary criticism.

And these are all dense, florid Victorian novels that do not take well to skimming.

The solution of course was that I didn't read them all, and bluffed my way through essays as best I could.

This one double paper (Which to be clear was an elective outside my major) covered Heart of Darkness, Billy Budd, Moby Dick, Bartleby the Scrivener, The Confidence Man, Lord Jim and Nostromo, and I also read The Duel for an essay.

I wanted to learn to crochet, so I designed and made a crochet cardigan (the button band and hems are knit so this is technically a knitting project) it's made of ~100 granny squares, all unique.

An 8 ply jumper for my 3 year old, made with yarn dyed by my sister in law. Cool colour effect from slipping stitches.

A chunky bottom up jumper with mystery yarn that turned out not quite to be enough for both sleeves. Boy was I sick of garter rib by the time this one was done.

A 4ply singlet made using a massive cone of cotton/merino/possum/nylon. Not fully happy with how untidy the edges are.

Yeah, the Land Transport Act doesn't let you charge more than cost recovery for residents' parking schemes.

Can't be using pricing to allocate scarce resources in our transport system.

it's so weird how modern germophobes think you have to sterilise every plate in an autoclave or something or else you'll die of bacteria...
