It is weird! Especially not following up with a reschedule. I would not feel good if this happened to me! I’m sorry that they were careless.

Reverting to "Reconciliation" dialogues won't help either. What we face, collectively, is far bigger than that. We have to address the rot at the core of your nationalism itself, and getting mad that Indigenous people don't see much difference between Canadian or American colonizers won't help you.

That’s right! I think that’s how I came across you on IG, haha. Excited to share more! 🌿🥕

I love this and would love to hear what you all are readying, thinking, and weaving! We’re in so-called Canada and just starting up, it would be sweet to find ways to share at some point! Helen is a bud of mine!

Ooh looks like a good one to recommend to our backyard food growers co-op!

Long live the passage of folk knowledge and folklore as a response to the world around us by regular everyday folk who lived in cities figuring out biscuits on rations to later make for their allergy ridden great granddaughter who then makes them as a broke apartment dweller in 2025.

Yes same love to yap. I appreciate you getting the ball rolling because even after this many years of social media use I was feeling a bit stumped! There are so many chit chat options to choose from!

Ready to chit chat!

You’re so welcome! I read it at about 1am while in the waiting room of the emergency vet with my dog (she’s okay) while watching an aquarium full of hermit crabs so let me say it was surreal and a perfect balm for the moment lol

Basically CP is trying to push more gig work style conditions with more staff on lower wages, no benefits/vacation, no confirmed schedule, etc. Which is a bad precedent to set and is being opposed by both casuals and permanent workers.

There is a disagreement over how the weekend shifts would be staffed, but they’re not opposed to it. CP wants to bring in 8hr a week casuals on a lower wage to cover sat delivery whereas the workers argue it can be staffed with regular permanent staff/making casuals permanent.

When I learned that the understanding of Christianity that took hold/what we have now was the one that was popular amongst the Roman military, so many things fell into place. Especially how more communal, gender equitable, radical etc expressions of the faith seemed to have gotten lost.

All I can say is that I genuinely hope you get the solidarity you’ve not been able to show others when inevitably you’re in the same boat. Good luck.

I mean, again this shows you haven’t read or understood the strike demands but whatever. All I can say is that I genuinely hope you get the solidarity you’ve not been able to show others when inevitably you’re in the same boat. Good luck.

The fact that other workers have it worse so don’t ask for more is not an argument I can accept as a worker. I want CUPW to win so we *all* win. If CP can fuck the pension and dismantle permanent employment then that is what is coming for the rest of us.
