Much love for Filipinx comrades and community impacted by horrific violence during Lapu-Lapu Day celebrations.

For ppl seeking support such as meal train or counseling, you can access resources thru Filipinx-led mutual aid network coming together.

Reverting to "Reconciliation" dialogues won't help either. What we face, collectively, is far bigger than that. We have to address the rot at the core of your nationalism itself, and getting mad that Indigenous people don't see much difference between Canadian or American colonizers won't help you.

It almost is starting to feel cliche to say we have all the tools but LITCHRALLY, we have the tools. And it doesn’t have to scale or be The One Thing we all do, we just have to all do the stuff we can do which is truly everything 💧

As a kid growing up not able to eat dairy/eggs in the 80s, it was my great grandparents who seemed to have no issue baking basically vegan treats for me & felt really special. It wasn’t until I got older that I realized it was likely due to depression/ration era knowledge. I still make these today!
Because of the price of eggs, I give you the classic Great Depression-era recipe for Crazy Cake, both in the original chocolate and vanilla versions. No eggs, no milk, all deliciousness.

These writers have had such a beautiful impact on the way I think about and see the world, and I love the opportunity to do this along side them while supporting their material conditions! Definitely follow at the very least but also maybe pop a bit of $$ in their fundraiser, too 🖤🐦‍⬛

Canada Post didn’t win maternity leave, the workers did. CP has not fallen behind the times, the way they treat workers while they pay themselves millions is a corporate greed tale as old as time. Also no, people are not being paid for 8 hrs while working 4 I bloody wish lol
Canada Post has succeeded in positive movements but has fallen behind in the current times we are in. The business can not continue to pay people 8 hrs for 4 hours of work on a daily. I used to work for the company

“Free Palestine” kite over border wall where Border Patrol forces asylum seekers to wait for hrs. As the kite soars above a deadly border wall our interconnected struggles for self-determination & liberation will also ascend beyond barriers that separate our families & those that disfigure our lands

I guess it is some kind of Vancouver tradition but I find it truly baffling that to kick off Xmas they let off a very long series of fireworks from on top of a hospital in an area where many seniors live?? A nightmare!
