For my grandfather, he needed to be sure to beat the allegations of queerness so he wouldn't get his medical license stripped (psychiatrist). For my grandmother (also a doctor), she probably got assurances that he would never make her be a traditional housewife.

I mean, this was my maternal grandparent's marriage, and it was the best choice both of them had, that was because society in the 1950s was terrible.

(To be clear, my grandmother knew before they got married. She knew she was a beard.)

One year ago today, Hurricane Milton ended the century-long Tampa Bay area hurricane drought. I'd say we got lucky that we made it through a major hurricane with most damage being from storm surge, but it takes a whole lot of hard work and legislation to get lucky, and it could have been worse.

This paragraph conveniently leaves out that Tricia Cooke and Ethan Corn have an open marriage, and that regardless of how he identifies himself, Barry Diller maintains that he married Diane von Furstenberg because he's attracted to her.

It's not the same thing as the TikTok lavender marriage stuff

Maybe you could say the same of Barry Diller, who recently confirmed that he is both gay and happily married to Diane von Fürstenberg. Or Tricia Cooke, who spoke openly about being a lesbian married to Ethan Coen while promoting their movies “Drive-Away Dolls” and “Honey Don’t!”

The ACNA is already only part of the Anglican Communion because they affiliated with churches in Africa and South America, so if African Anglican denominations are starting to schism, it's not a big leap to schism all the way into a global homophobic church that calls itself the real Anglicans
