Conservative and reactionary centrist media is trying to set up a narrative in which GLP-1s are some kind of existential threat to body positivity and fat activism.
It's bullshit. If you want to lose weight, go for it. But not everyone can or wants to — and they deserve equal treatment regardless.

Coloring has turned out to be substantially better for my mental health than I would have guessed? Everytime I want to tell either a blue dog or a firebomb brigade idiot on the internet to go to hell instead I color some animals being friends and I feel the peace of the Lord. Try it.

The thing modern feminists have to negotiate is that sexism is literally everywhere. In every tradition. It’s in atheist/skeptic communities as much as religious ones. And there are liberatory interpretive strands in every tradition I’ve encountered.

One element of this that I think is important, for me personally, is that folks who have “changed sides” or “seen the light” shouldn’t be clamoring for positions of leadership. Someone who is radically changing opinions while still trying to lead reeks of self-serving false belief.
