Want to learn some Japanese enough to search titles, my bare minimum goal. But I also need to improve Cantonese for work (aka learn more than 5 phrases and how to count). Baby steps

One thing that so far Narcissus and Goldmund does very well is that kind of compressed passage of time....it's what stood out to me in the beginning and kind of returned to it during Goldmund's travels during the plague. It's very lovely
