the shadow was being used as a vessel for the demon's energy. The amplified shadow magic begins to coat the burns, turning black as the hints of light magic within the shadow allow the darkness to bond with and soothe holy wounds.

Was it Yuga that compelled him? Was it a lingering fondness? Was it to spite the bard? The demon's mind is incomprehensible to the struggling priest, not that he could even try to do much of anything as he is forced to blearily watch whatever Ganon might do.
