We have over 16 centuries worth of historical data on Christians building/aligning with empires and doing awful things to each other and others.

Stop insisting that bad actors are not “real” Christians.

A lot of people lack the range to examine that because they simply don’t understand what religion is.

They’re almost entirely former fundamentalist Christians who assume that represents the totality of religious expression.
