#recentlywatched Darkman. In 4K. Liam Neeson & Frances McDormand in this cheesy, over-the-top 90s superhero spectacle. Gotta love it. I have a slight dream of writing a JLA-style comic of Raimi/Raimi-adjacent characters incl Darkman, Ash, Xena, & MANTIS. Putting that out into the universe.

While ago, pub'ed "Franchise Potential" in my newsletter b/c "shady publisher" reasons. I love the heck outta this weird, anticapitalist slasher.
Then, I adapted it as a short script—which is now an Official Selection for the Sinister Horror Film Festival in Mexico City (and online) in December.

#recentlywatched Evil Dead 4K. I like this one and it has some absolutely brutal moments. I do wish we got more of the mountainfolk who knew how to stop the Deadites from the beginning of the film.
