We had a great chat on LBC earlier with Molly Hanning from Academics Against Assault, Sharon Gaffka and Shelagh Fogerty about the strategy and answered some of the callers questions. Thank you to everyone who called in and thank you to LBC and Shelagh for having us on the show.

Government needs to listen to survivors, campaigners and also provide better funding for organisations who already do the work to combat Male Violence Against Women and Girls.

It definitely feels like an after thought, and though we try to remain hopeful, a lot of campaigners know that promises alone are not enough. We need to see real change and for this strategy to be revised and edited as we move forward.

My view of defunding the police never goes down well and so they edit it out, the only solution other than that would be a complete overhaul. Policing as it stands in the UK right now does not work.

Survivors of police brutality have been gaslit, victim blamed and abused further when speaking up about what they have faced.

The person was in a position of power and I am still linked with the company they work for.
