I live near the Bedford, Virginia National D-Day Monument. Most of Company A died in the first 10 minutes after landing in Normandy fighting Nazis. Here lies one of the in a city of Bedford cemetery. Allowing Nazi symbols dishonors their sacrifice.

Hey Virginia! Today is last day of early voting! Out in Roanoke mountains canvassing 18 doors. Not very walkable but trying to squeeze out some votes! Beautiful scenery!

You need this temp chart based on size of Dutch oven and temp you want. I got a chimney thing at Lowe’s to speed up preparing charcoals.

Chicken pot pie is good. Instead of bisquick I put frozen biscuits on top instead. You can do desserts in Dutch oven too.

Found a great mutual aid to help essential federal workers at Roanoke Airport. They have a pantry where they will take public donations near baggage claim 2. I shopped at a nearby Aldi and got a bagful of food that I could carry into the terminal.

I just made 4 pounds of granola. Once you buy some of the ingredients, you can use in multiple batches.

I’m a canvasser and knocked doors last Saturday in Virginia, literally encountered another reason for early voting. I knocked on a door of an elderly woman who had early voted. Her husband said his wife fell yesterday broke her hip, and was undergoing surgery. I did a video on it.

Finally got out there canvassing today in Roanoke County, Virginia for Dr. Ryan White for school board, and the rest of the ticket. Please early voted!! Ran into household where a lady had already voted, but fell and broke her hip the other day. If she hadn’t voted early she may not have.

If you have a mason jar and cheesecloth or buy a special lid, you can grow your own sprouts. I order from Sproutman. Food in a week! Also you can get a small pot and grow basil or other herbs.

Talked to Joy Powers (51) and Sam Soghor (53) today in Bedford, VA. Joy specifically told me she is so appreciative of the money coming in. She will use it to fund a billboard. The money helps these candidates get a start. Thanks much to everyone that’s donated!!!

Volunteered at Dem booth at Centerfest in downtown Bedford, VA. Both delegates Sam Soghor (53) and Joy Powers for Virginia (51) were there! Lots of people stopped by and said they had already voted yesterday!!!

First day of early voting in Virginia! I was #264. Voted Abigail Spanberger for Governor, Ghazala Hashmi for Lt. Governor, Jay Jones Attorney General and Joy Powers for Delegate. Let’s flip the state back to blue!!!

I found this book to be very helpful. I’ve started doing sprouts, microgreens, mushroom logs, what kind of veggies to grow when, different types of gardens, seed saving, planting perennials, etc.
I was able to grow lots of lettuce, bok choy, cherry tomatoes, jalapeño peppers.

Got back out canvassing again. Yes there are Democrats in SW Virginia. Lots of super nice people. Favorite garden flag at a house. 17 doors. Early voting starts Sept. 19. Gov, Lt. gov, atty General.delegate. These people have rarely been contacted.
