Pop quiz: What are the American people paying closer attention to right now?

1)  Former President Joe Biden’s stage four prostate cancer diagnosis
2)  Trump’s gutting of cancer research

(Hint: It's not #2)

Jeff Nesbit reports on the story worth your attention.
Trump’s cuts to cancer research imperil Joe Biden’s legacy Cancer Moonshot initiative
The sitting president has gutted cancer research pretty much everywhere he can, with almost no regard to the pain it mig

Early this morning, House Republicans passed Trump's "big, beautiful" budget bill to kick millions of Americans off Medicaid and fund tax cuts for billionaires and big corporations - but not before they snuck in even more changes that will make life harder for the most vulnerable Americans.

The “big, beautiful” bill ain’t beautiful—it’s bullshit.

House Republicans just voted for the largest cut to SNAP & Medicaid in U.S. history—turning their backs on their own damn constituents: the working people they were sent here to represent.

They don’t serve the people. They serve the rich.

Millions will be kicked off their health care. Hospitals will close. Kids will go hungry because they slashed food assistance. This isn’t fear mongering. These will be the very real consequences of their budget.

Now it goes to the Senate. There’s still time to fight.

The call between Putin and Trump was a painful reminder that Trump is the junior partner in the Russian-American relationship and that Putin will continue his mass-murder campaign in Ukraine for as long as he can get away with it.

In 2024, Biden signed into law a $105 billion measure designed to end a shortfall in air traffic controllers.

In 2025, Trump came in and instead began firing hundreds of them.

So you can see how *clear* it is that Biden is to blame for the shortage now.

On February 16, 1793, a writer in the Philadelphia General Advertiser called the upcoming celebrations of President Washington’s Birthday in the Capitol, “degrading to the character of a free people." Why should we parrot a “monarchical farce” that harkens back to “the pageantry of royalty?”
Shortly after coming to power, the regime orders a massive military parade in the nation’s capital, to be held on the regime leader’s birthday - symbolizing the regime’s claim that the leader embodies the nation.

This should be anathema in a democratic republic. It’s insulting and dangerous.
Constitution Avenue has been selected as the main route for Trump’s Jun. 14 military parade, so for once “trampling on Constitution” will be more than a metaphor for him.
