Perhaps surprisingly, Estonia 🇪🇪 and Poland 🇵🇱 contribute more in % per GDP than the US 🇺🇸. Read that twice. There are countries that give relatively more from their gross domestic product than the US. Significantly more.

In addition to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland, there are a bunch of countries who exceed the 2% threshold (2024 data): Greece, Romania, Macedonia, Finland, Hungary, Czechia, Bulgaria, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Turkey, the Netherlands.

Germany, France also hit their 2% goal in 2024.
